In 1992, Stu Maloff started FUN-damental Basketball Camp Inc., a day camp in Syracuse, NY. The camp helps 6-16 year olds focus on developing fundamental basketball and listening skills while having fun. The camps offer a unique 5-1 camper to-staff ratio, so each child receives highly individual attention.
Around 1999, Stu started purchasing basketball-related domains, taking his business online. This savvy online strategy took his business to the next level. His main website, www.ebasketballcamps.com, got so much traffic that campers started flocking to his New York-based camp from more than 30 states and 20 countries! About five years ago, Stu expanded the business and started a new day camp at Disney's Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, just outside of Orlando.
"I was very fortunate to have invested in domain names — in particular those related to my basketball business. I registered a bunch of basketball-related domains to enhance my camp's presence on the Internet.
